I’ll be straight I was skeptical about this one. A heated razor sounds like the kind of product that exists purely to justify a higher price tag. I’d been using a basic Gillette Fusion for years and it worked fine. My brother-in-law bought this Heated Razor a few months back and kept going on about it every time shaving came up in conversation. Eventually I tried it at his place one morning and ordered my own that evening. That’s how convincing the first shave was.

    First Impressions Heavier Than Expected

377 grams feels substantial when you pick it up. Noticeably heavier than any cartridge razor I’d used before. First instinct was that it might feel tiring to use but the weight actually works in its favor the razor glides under its own pressure without you needing to push. The rubber grip keeps it secure even with wet hands and the metal construction feels genuinely premium rather than plastic-premium.

The magnetic charging dock is a nice touch. Sits on the bathroom shelf, razor snaps onto it, charges without any cable fiddling. It’s a small thing but it makes the whole setup feel considered rather than thrown together.

The Heating This Is the Whole Point

Press the button, the bar heats up in about a second. Not dramatically hot warm in the way a hot towel feels warm. Soothing rather than intense. And it stays at that temperature consistently through the entire shave without fluctuating.

The heated bar sits just below the blades so the warmth hits the skin a fraction of a second before the blades do. That sequence matters the skin and hair are already relaxed by the time the blades make contact. If you’ve ever had a proper barber shave with a hot towel preparation you’ll immediately recognize what this is trying to replicate. It doesn’t fully match that experience nothing at home does but it’s genuinely closer than I expected.

First morning I used it I noticed I’d finished shaving and my face didn’t have that tightness and mild sting I’d accepted as normal. Took me a moment to realize what was different.

    Shaving Performance

Seven blades is a lot. Combined with the warmth softening the beard hair the razor needs almost no pressure to get a clean shave. I have reasonably thick beard growth and I was finishing my full face in fewer strokes than usual. The blades glide rather than drag.

Post-shave skin feels genuinely different. Softer, less irritated, no redness around the jawline where I usually get it from pressing too hard. The first week I kept touching my face after shaving because the texture was noticeably smoother than I was used to.

I have slightly sensitive skin on the neck area always have, regardless of razor. With this one the irritation is significantly reduced. Not zero, but meaningfully better than anything else I’ve used.

    Daily Use Practical Realities

Water resistant so you can use it in the shower which I do occasionally. Rinses clean under the tap, no complicated cleaning required. The cartridge replacement process is the same as any Gillette cartridge razor pull off the old one, press on the new one.

Battery life has been fine for my usage. I shave five or six times a week and charge it roughly once every ten days. The charge goes on overnight and I’ve never run out mid-shave which is the only battery metric that actually matters.

The size is slightly bulkier than a regular razor which took a few days to adjust to. Storing it in the dock on the shelf works well it doesn’t take up drawer space and the dock keeps it upright and charged.

Is the Heated Experience Actually Worth It?

This is the real question. The honest answer is that it depends entirely on how much the shaving experience matters to you versus just the end result.

If shaving is a task you want done as quickly as possible and you don’t particularly care about comfort during the process a regular Gillette Fusion does the same job for a fraction of the price and you’ll be perfectly satisfied.

But if you shave daily and find the process uncomfortable, irritating, or just unpleasant the heated razor genuinely changes that. It turns a functional task into something that’s actually pleasant. That’s not a small thing when it’s something you do every morning.

For sensitive skin specifically I’d recommend it without hesitation. The reduction in irritation alone justifies it.

    Price

Between ₹1,000 and ₹1,200 on Amazon and Flipkart for the standard kit. Replacement cartridges are where the ongoing cost sits same as premium Gillette cartridges generally. Factor that in as the real running cost rather than just the upfront price.

If a seller quotes above ₹1,200 for the standard kit, compare prices on the major platforms before paying.

    Worth Buying?

For daily shavers who want a more comfortable experience yes. For people with sensitive skin who deal with regular irritation definitely yes. For someone who shaves twice a week and has no complaints about their current razor probably not a necessary upgrade.

Two months of daily use and I genuinely look forward to shaving now which is not something I ever expected to say. That’s probably the most honest endorsement I can give.
