ExpressVPN is consistently polished and reliable. The main argument against it is price it’s noticeably more expensive than the others without a proportional performance advantage for most users. If budget isn’t a concern it’s a legitimate premium choice.
Surfshark is genuinely compelling especially for price-sensitive buyers. Unlimited devices is a real differentiator and the security features are solid. Speed can be more variable depending on server but for casual use it’s fine. If you need to cover many devices cheaply Surfshark deserves serious consideration.
NordVPN sits in the middle faster than Surfshark in most tests, cheaper than ExpressVPN, with a feature set that covers everything most users actually need. For everyday privacy, streaming, and security it’s the most balanced option of the three in my view.
Pricing
NordVPN’s pricing varies significantly by plan length. Monthly plans are expensive not worth it unless you’re testing it. The one or two year plans bring the cost down substantially and are where the value actually is. Check the current pricing on NordVPN’s website directly as they run promotional pricing regularly.
The subscription auto-renews so set a reminder to review before renewal if you want to reassess. Price at renewal is sometimes higher than the initial promotional rate.
A Year In Worth It?
